Rancho Mirage CA

Sourcing furniture and antique finds in and around California was a highlight of this resort home’s vintage-inspired design story, from the 1970s Lucite chandelier to the living room’s wall sculpture—it’s like walking through international design history. Each piece tells a story.

Because this is Southern California, the outdoors are an extension of the living space, and are outfitted with comforts you’d find indoors: dining chairs, fire-circle wingbacks and a poolside daybed in ’70s-cool hole punch with groovy needlework pillows. The silhouettes, the period pastel palette: it all imports the elegance, comfort and glamour of “Old Hollywood on vacation” with a fresh, modern feel.
