Jericho Beach

With a picture-perfect view of the Burrard Inlet, downtown and the mountains, we designed the interior architecture of this classic modern home to make the most of its outstanding outlook while simultaneously creating a warm, urban contemporary home. A cook’s kitchen was paramount, as one of clients is an accomplished chef.

We created a kitchen with extensive storage and work area to facilitate both presentation and instruction cooking, plus entertaining. The expansive island provides seating for up to 10 guests.  Working with Stuart Howard Architects, we designed the open stair and railings to float within the architectural glass box.

The architecture of the home is a classic modern design intended to last generations, with features and selections in both style and materials that will always feel fresh and timely. On the main floor, a large-format taupe marble tile grounds an all-white kitchen, while other feature millwork in fumed grey oak pulls the outside in. Bronze Armani marble fireplaces add a touch of refined luxury that still feels warm, and West Coast. Natural light is constant and pervasive in the bright design; the material selections allow the interiors to morph to suit the quality of light.
