Deans Knight Capital Management was growing and they wanted to create a new environment that was functional, inspiring and welcoming. After taking the space back to its concrete shell, we built a new full-service kitchen for staff to congregate, as well as to welcome clients.
The staff all have open-plan offices, so we needed to provide them with functional space that promotes communication and collaboration, while offering natural light and access to the incredible views of the harbour. A suite of hospitality areas provides a location for private client consultations, entertaining and meetings.
Finishes for the custom millwork kitchen are extended throughout the office: honed marble flooring, cabinets in horizontal quarter-cut walnut and back-painted glass with quartz countertops evoke a quiet elegance throughout. We used walnut and marble for longevity as much as for their classic beauty. Our fabric wall coverings provide a sedate and sober feeling. It’s a bespoke space that fits the needs of staff and their clients as smartly as a Savile Row suit.
